The Birdhouse 2024!

Three years ago we decided we wanted to have a birdhouse in our garden. I also wanted to mount a camera in there to monitor if we had any guests.

We launched the project by buying a birdhouse on biltema and a very simple wifi connected camera. I had some leftover paint and we got to work! The kids loved painting and talking about what guests would live in there.

Unfortunately, the birdhouse stood empty the first year (2022).

Last year however, we were in luck!

A Talgoxe (Great tit) couple moved in and we had super fun watching the couple building the nest, hatching the eggs and later on the babybirds and all their quirks.

We were worried that it would be empty this year, then this morning it suddenly happened!
We have new guests in the birdhouse and they have started the construction of the nest! Our guests seems to be Rödstjärtar (Redstarters).

I created a 10x speed version of the morning construction, enjoy!
