When you have neither time or money, things happen.

Before summer, probably back in April/May, I had a lengthy discussion with a C-level executive around new products and migration. Remember, I have a wide network so don’t try to identify this individual 🙂

Anyway, the discussion went something like this:
C-level: “But Niclas, we can’t build new. Data migration is hard. Everyone keeps telling me it’s hard and very complex.”
Me: “Yes, indeed. Data migration is hard and can be complex, until you are forced to do it quickly and cheaply. Then suddenly it’s something you just do.”

A learning that has stuck with me for many years is how easy it is to do stuff when you lack time and/or resources. When you have both, there is a hefty risk that the corporate organism will get you and, unintentionally, make it very hard to achieve anything.

TLDR; When you have neither time or money, things happen. ✨
